Jibing Zamazaan with Spinnaker

Cockpit Crew Jibing Sequence
Standard configuration at all times when flying “Kite”:
- Lazy Afterguy Eased out for foredeck crew, and wrapped around winch. Note slack in Lazy ‘guy in fig. Jibe 2
- Lazy Sheet is “Cowboyed” on top of pole jaws. Don’t try to jibe without it cowboyed.
Prepare to Jibe! Command (Inboard end of Pole raised, Main Brought to Centerline)
- Take up slight tension on Lazy Sheet & keep it cowboyed.
- As boat is “Squared” to the wind, i.e. “falls-off”, Bring Pole back

“3” Inboard Pole end is Up and Main coming to center line Pole coming back
“2” Main almost to center line Pole coming back
“1” Afterguy slightly eased & New Sheet Tensioned
“TRIP!” Pole dips and Kite is free flying (Fig. Jibe 3) Trimmers “Walk the Kite” around the front of the boat by easing “Old” sheet & bringing in “New” sheet.
"MADE!" New Afterguy brought in quickly until clew / biscuit is brought to Pole tip. -Watch trim / Pole angle to wind angle. -Inboard end of Pole Lowered. (Fig. 4)
Immediate Cowboy Lazy Sheet and prepare lazy afterguy for next Jibe.
